i'm currently developing using carbide.c++ express edition... now i would like to try Developer edition for planning a purchase.
my question is can i have both ide installed on my machine or they are incompatible?

Yes, you can have them intalled on the same machine. Though it might be best to keep separate workspace for each installation since there are some differences in how Express and Developer editions handle certain file types (DEF & PCH++). As well, opening a Dev edition project in Express won't be backwards compatible. Otherwise there shouldn't be a problem.

i have doubt that it work properly , I have installed two sdk on single drive but it give me drive tag error.

I've had several versions of Carbide.c++ installed on my system and have never had any problems. Can you give me more details on the error you are seeing? It sounds like more of an SDK configuration-related problem than a Carbide problem.
