Text editor and special characters

Hello everyone,

Some days ago I bought a Nokia 6230i. I have been looking for a long time for a simple text editor which can open/save .TXT files that I can also open with my computer. On the Orange SPV that I used to own, I had such a program, called Vieka WordPad. Does anyone know if such software exists for Nokia (for free)? I'd really appreciate that. All I could find was software that can make notes, but it doesn't allow me to save it to a file.

Also, I would like to type special characters. Is there any way I can do that? On my old smartphone I could just edit the t9 dictionary with some software (msT9Ed).
