Installing MetroTrk on E70

Hello,

I am using E70 3rd edition phone and trying to debug helloworld application on it.

i am going through "OnDeviceDebugging" document provided by nokia (along with s60_App_TRK.sisx and CW upated patch).

when i tried installing s60_App_TRK.sisx on device, it gave error saying "Unable to install Component is built in". If this is built in how will i run it before start of debugging.

Assuming that this is already installed if i try to debug from CW (after doing appropriate seetings) CW popped an error sayinng "MetroTRK Protocol Plugin -cant connect to MetroTRK"

Please give inputs for this problem. Thanks in advance.

If the phone says it is already installed, I would check the installed applications and see if there is a TRK icon there. If so, you need to launch it before you launch the debugger in CodeWarrior.

What kind of firmware you have? Usually AppTRK is not part of production firmware.

What kind of firmware i dont have idea. Pls let me know how can i get that info.

When it says "Component is built-in" i tried checking in installation folder abt AppTrk icon but i didn't find one.

Pls let me know in such case how can launch AppTrk??

You can find out what version of the firmware you have by typing *#0000# at the main screen (ie where you'd type numbers to make a phone call).

This was the details i got from that.. By this how can we find TrkApp was installed or not..

Please help me regarding this.

It looks like you have production build image. So I am also wondering why you can't install AppTRK. Have you tried to reset your phone to the default factory settings by pressing *#7370#? It will bring your phone to the same state when it went out from the factory.
