N70: Display pauses with auto keylock

Hello,

I have a strange effect with my Java application on my Nokia N70. Basically, when an application is running, if the auto keypad lock activates, any updates to the java display do not happen. It looks like the application is paused, although I cannot tell if it is a display update issue or an actual application issue.

Has anyone else seen this?

Any ways around this?

I tested on 3250 and form - once keylock is put form is put out of focus - because "Unlock" label seems to be overlay - so Displayable.isShown() return false,
I've simply made small thread which continously checked for isShown() value - that's all,

Hi Peter, thanks for replying.

I haven't tried either of what you have suggested, I'll have a go tonight if I get a chance (life often gets in the way!). I thought it might be something like that, I'm guessing Java has decided that the application isn't visible so is ignoring the repaints.

BTW, did you get the same behaviour as I did?

quick test and at least Form is updated regulary even if keypad is locked,
