    Hello,

I understand that S40 devices can only be programmed in Java. S60 and S80 devices can be programmed in Java or C++. I am wondering what is the lowest S60 edition that supports Bluetooth Programming in C++?? In case of S40 I have to ensure that Java supports JSR-82.

    Hello Saleem,

Not quite sure about exact pricing of phones.

You can go for Nokia 6600 as yr initial startup. It's having more features than that of only Bluetooth. It would be more helpful to work for other application development apart from Bluetooth only.

If the cost is the main issue for you then why don't you go for second-hand model?
    You will sure get one.

    Regards.
    Kiran.

AFAIK from developer platform 1.2 onwards Nokia supports Bluetooth on Series 60 devices. I think N-Gage QD is one of the earliest models which are now available, that support the S60 1st edition SDK and the Symbian OS v6.1. You can find some earliest models here: Device Specifications.

All the S60 phones support Bluetooth. The pre-historic 7650 had limited Bluetooth support, but with any device since then you should be OK.

If there's a specific Bluetooth profile or API that you're after, it might be good to tell us what/which.
