I was using the sample SIP codes (SIPEx) from the 3rd Ed. SDK and was told the codes were generated using CodeWarrior. So there were some incompatibility when I imported the files over using the bld file.

When I compile the sourcecodes in carbide. The sis files and pkg files are missing. Seems that the .mif file which declares the scalable graphics for the app. icon is gone. How should i use the Carbide Express to get it back?

That is a problem that icon and pkg files are not imported automatically.

What I have been doing so far:

    1) For icon, I add the icon files (svg) to the project. Then I add MIF Definition File by right clicking project name and selecting New | MIF Definition File.

    2) For pkg, I just add .pkg file to the project and Carbide.c++ will use it automatically to build .sis file.

I seem to be having one more problem with the SIPEx.

The makesis called by Carbide.c++ cannot be executed because of the error in the .pkg file..here is the line..

    C:\Symbian\9.1\S60_3rd_MR\epoc32\data\z\resource\plugins\SIPExResolverPlugin.rsc

I am wondering why is the file missing. The file seems to be generated by one of the SIPExResolver component of the SIPEx.

Hi, I solved the problem with the SIPExResolverPlugin.rsc by manually doing a compilation in command prompt. Now I have another problem.

When I install the sis into the actual device, I receive the message :

    "Required application access not granted"

I did a check at http://blogs.forum.nokia.com/view_entry.html?id=93 and it says the error is caused by not allowing all the capabilities when generating the cert. But I'm sure I had allowed ALL the 10 capabilities.

    Hi
I think the problem is with certification. R u using suitable certificates for generating sisx to the device? just check that and capabilities also.

    regards
