S40 sdk web services

I download s40 sdk features pack 1. It claims that it supports jsr 172 API, nevertheless whenever I try to run a middlet using this API the simulator thorws an exception saying that it can not find java.rmi.Remote

What kind of support is that???

The Series 40 3rd Edition FP 1 SDK (and devices) support JAXP part of the Web services API. The RPC part of the API is not supported.

This is mentioned also in the release notes of the SDK
"- Web Services JAXP API (JSR 172)."
although I have to admit that is not exactly the best possible way to to state that part of the API is not supported.
