You can send SMS to another device using Wireless Messaging API (JSR-120). But from a J2ME application it is not possible to identify whether an incomming call has come. I mean when an external event is occoured, PauseApp() method will be triggered, but you cannot identify from a J2ME app, what exact external event has occoured, like whether it was an incomming call or an incomming SMS or battery charging alert or so on..

I appreciate for your quick reply. I wanna ask you one more question. I m new to this subject and i wonder if J2ME app can identify a call from call list (menu). Is it possible to identify whether a call has come from call lists or something, not on time of incoming call?

[Edited later to add the mising "NOT"]
Your phone is based on Symbian and Symbian C++ should have tools for this (I'll let others to comment on details, as I am out of my league in this). .NET is *NOT* supported on S60 phones.

Perhaps you meant to say that the .NET framework ["full" or "compact"] is *NOT* supported on S60 [Symbian] phones natively [as it comes from Nokia/Symbian].

    Hi all,
I want to know about all conditions that would be happened if an SMS
sent forexample a usual condition of sent SMS is that the sending
succeed and the sent SMS is in sent Item of handset and phone.
another condition is when sending SMS fails....
I want to know what are all possible conditions that probably exist
and exactly determine when these conditions happen...
I would be highly appreciated if you help me...
    Thanks,

Can you tell me why I must check entryId in
    EMsvEntriesmoved case?
And is there a simple way for determining and spaning all cases that
would be happened while sending SMS?
forexample we classify all cases that would be happened to SMS:
1.success : and the SMS in sent Item
2.Pending: SMS in outbox....when it goes in outbox? and how much time it needs for staying in pending state ..?
3.fail:where would be the sent SMS Exist....
You know I want to know all possible case and myself handle them..
    Regards,
    Paria
