Application crashed when another application acquires camera

Hey, All
We have an application to use camera to record video. When our application is running, if we hook up camera from phone camer button or from system menu to active camer, our application crashes.

I specifically call CCamera Reserved . Is there any other way to block other application to use video resource, or we can stop recording safely without crashes?

We are runing on both symbian 2nd and 3rd, we run into the same result.

In Symbian 9.0 based devices applications that have capability MultimediaDD can pre-empt applications that do not have it. In essence, even though your application has reserved camera, it can receive error code KErrInUse at any time because another app has pre-empted your app. This _can_ cause crash if you neglect checking error codes... But you wouldn't do that would you?
