expired certificate on carbide.vs sample developer certificate

I am using a signed application that uses the sample developer certificate from carbide.vs.
till now I had no problem installing the application on the phone.
today (19/10/2006) I tried installing the same application again, but this time I am receiving "expired certificate" message from the phone!
WTF?
how can I make it work again?
(I don't want to use devcert from symbian signed because this application is intendent for many phone devices. with devcert I can make certificate for only a few phones plus it is not free...)

have a look on SDK docs, in there making self-signed certificates is explained quite well.
