Access call logs from j2me

Hi,
I need to access the phone's call logs from my J2ME application. I wanted to know if this is possible? Also can i launch another application from my app?
Any help in this direction will be very useful.

Currently it is not possible to access call log from a JME app.

Thanx balagopalks! I also want to know if i can create an application in j2me which works in the background. Basically what i wanna do is when my wifi enabled phone enters a hotspot i want the application to come to the foreground and inform the user of an available hotspot and wether he wishes to connect to it. I'm not sure this can be done and hence need some advice as to how i can approach this problem.
