Which SDK for E61?

Hi,

I'm quite new to Symbian/Nokia development platform. Could you tell me which SDK is suitable for E61 phone? S60 3rd Edition, S60 3rd Edition Maintenance Release or S60 3rd Edition FP1 ? It seems that the lastest one is based on Symbian OS 9.2, but E61 is OS 9.1.

Your device E61 is based on Symbian OS v9.1(Series 60 3rd Edition).
So you need to work with S60 3rd Edition Maintenance Release.

Thanks for the help, but the SDK installation always failed without any error message. :-(

During the installation, I choose the default setting for every option, including setup type, destination folder. The setup process quit after copying the "releasenotes.txt" into to "C:\Symbian\9.1\S60_3rd_MR\Epoc32\Data\". Strange...

I already stopped antivirus program before installation. Maybe, my download file was corrupted. I will try again later.

Try searching for releasenotes.txt in the forum: it is a well-known problem, and you will definitely find the solution.
