Are there any tools or source codes to capture images?

I am a student
I am doing a java mobile game for my project that is using camera to forcus on a target in game.

it is like these lastest games (Nokia s60.6600.7610.6260 )

our idea of game is using camera
when moving the camera of mobile, it will detect the movement....
ng....
for example, when players play shooting game in mobiles ,they should move their camera. Then it will be focused on targets and shoot.

There is problem that i don't know how to start.

it seems like you want to provide a locator mockup above camera viewport which - if I remember well from other posts on forum - is not guaranted to work on Nokia devices (and not guaranted in MIPD 2.0/JSR-135 specification),

Peter, well yes, drawing on top of the video is not possible, but in here I guess the approach is to take snapshots and analyze those images to find out some object, display the image and draw on top of that. This is possible with the current tools, although the displayed" video might be a little less smoth than a real viewfinder.
