how to make an image visible during runtime.

i was just wondering f it is possible to call an image to be visible during run time... i am developing an application wherein an image pops up on the screen whenever a new message arrives in the inbox of my application...

anybody have an idea?

Hi,

Inbox of your application or inbox of Phone.

If inbox of phone then you need to write an observer by implementing MMsvSessionObserver and whenever u get observer called u crosscheck for new messages if any and bring your app to foreground by calling BringToForeground() /DrawNow().

my application behaves this way... whenever a new message arrives in the inbox of my application, it shows an icon that there are unread messages from the inbox, similar to the phones application. i want to apply that in my application.

you could have a look into the sms examples and the parts where they monitor inbox messages. Then you would easily get any change events in inbox.

The showing part could be done for example using global- message notes, -query notes etc. or by making your own window that pops up and takes highest window priority to staty at the front. This is of course if you use non-GUI-servers to monitor inbox.

if you use GUI-App to monitor inbox, then just send it back to the foreground when ever you wish to show it to the user.
