Can build "hello world" example without VCs.

I had those softwares installed:

Java SDK and Perl
Symbian SDK(S60_2nd_FP3)
Carbide.c++ Express(v1.0)

I can successful using Carbide IDE to create, build, and run applications.

When I try to build "Hello world" example(using bldmake bldfiles and abld build wins udeb) in command line, I got some error messages and one of them say that the command "link.exe" is not found.

What Can I do to make this build process success without install more softwares(such as VC6).

You can try to build it from Carbide (check the Import command in the File menu).

I cannot compile with bldmake with "wins", but using "armi" and "thumb" it´s compile fine.To "wins" without IDE i dont know .

WINS is a platform defined for emulator builds with Microsoft's build tools. In contrast, WINSCW is defined for emulator builds using CodeWarrior's tools. Some SDKs come in two flavors, each supporting only one of the emulator platforms. Starting with S60 2nd FP3 the only supported platform is WINSCW and support for Microsoft's Visual Studio is implemented in the Carbide.vs plug-in that wraps calls to the CodeWarrior tool chain.

As such, the command that you should be using with this particular SDK is not "abld build wins udeb" but "abld build winscw udeb".

Of course you need to make sure that the tools are accessible to the build scripts ...
