I have been trying to send a VCard to a nokia phone using a nokia 6310i with the at commands.
The at commands used are
ATZ CRLF
AT+CMGF=0 CRLF
AT+CMGS=86 CRLF
At this point the phone returns a ">" character which then expects the PDU data
the first two digits 00 represent the SC address and have not been counted as part of the 86 octets.
This is the data using the example supplied in the messaging FAQ.

Then I send a CTR-Z
The device then reports ERROR with no explanation, can anyone decode this message and make sure that I'm no being a idiot and any explanation as to why this is failing.

90 (h90=144 the amount of octets in 8 bit message can't exceed 140, the actual amount of octets seems to be only 72 = h48)
06 05 04 23 F4 00 00 42 45 47
49 4E 3A 56 43 41 52 44 DA 56
45 52 53 49 4F 4E 3A 32 2E 31
DA 4E 3A 53 6D 69 74 68 3B 4D
69 6B 65 DA 54 45 4C 3B 50 52
45 46 3A 2B 35 35 35 31 32 33
34 35 DA 45 4E 44 3A 56 43 41
52 44
The whole message structure is checked. So change the
length to h48 so it should work.
