routing address

On nokia 6610 tested:
menu->messages->text messages->Create messages->Options->Sending options->Sending profile->Profile 2->Options->Alphanumeric = "Routing address:"
Field "Routing address:"
I write random text and press options->Accept.
Device begin sending sms message, but print "check operator service".
SMS message reciving by SMSC, contain unknown data and missing number recipient.
SMSC rejected sms message becouse contain incorrect format.
In body sms messages field "type of telematic devices"(TP-Protocol-Identifier) set value "TELETEX, in CSPDN".
What is a "Routing address:" and as it can use for celler operator?
