Short Messages

I have been experimenting with the example supplied in the smart messaging FAQ. I have managed to encode the PDU up to the point of the user-data-length. From this point I have managed to send VCARDS and VCALS but would like to use the same encoding for a standard short message. How can this be done using this example.

Does FAQ #5 answer your question? Not exactly sure what it is you're trying to do, and what example you are referring to.
