thank you, it works.
However, I'm astonished how stupid have been made this.
It is hard for me to gess what is the reason for this option.

Hi,
I recently started LBS and have been surfing this forum for help. I had some problem too with this tool and its working fine in another PC. So, was wondering what might be the problem! When I searched for it in this forum, I found this thread. After that I am surprised to see that the solution is damn simple. Thank you guys, esp kamenlitchev, for your help.
I have tried the options suggested in this thread (adding the JRE version; and even installing jre 1.4.2)...but i still get the error - cannot start Ecmt Manager
The "other" problem is that you need to have the DLL MSVCR71.dll in the windows\system32 folder.
This resolved the issue!
Hi
I modify file <installation_path>\Epoc32\tools\ecmt\config\config.properties.
so that the line seems like
But i still get the error - "Cannot start Ecmt Manager"Code:epdt.java.version.start=1.4.1,1.4.2,1.5,5.0,1.6,6.0
I have:
-Vista Sp1
-S60 3rd Edition FP2 SDK v1.1.
-Java version 6 update 10
Code:C:\Users\user>java -showversion java version "1.6.0_10" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_10-b33) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 11.0-b15, mixed mode, sharing)
On S60 3rd Edition FP2 the configuration file only has support for JRE 1.6. What might be the problem in your case is the fact that you're using Vista, rather than the JRE version.
You should search the net for informations about known Java issues on Vista and workarounds.

You can get an idea from #22 for example.

Hi,
I would recommend referring to this link here:

This has worked well on my VM and made the error be gone - unfortunately, the JIT debugger still doesnt work.
All the best
Tam
