I am looking for some help in regards to setting up the E61 to work off of my router, which is connected to my PBX. It is a IP-PBX config and I am attempting to set up the Nokia as an exstention. However there is one key problem that I can not seam to work around while the other wired SIP phones work fine on the system. (Note: friends SIP only WiFi phone is working perfect)

While the Nokia is showing that the registration has failed, the PBX is showing it as a live and active exstention. When wired phone dials Nokia exstention PBX send the appropriate request to the Nokia with no avail. The problem seams to be coming from ICMP and a port 3478 which appears to be assosiated with the STUN, and timing out issues of the Nokia (note: No firewall on system) Below is the captured packet data that I have added if anyone could help me make a little more out of this data.

No. Time Source Destination Protocol Info

(note: all ports are 5060 for both src and dst after above port issue)

    10 3.343778 192.168.Router 192.168.Nokia SIP Status: 200 OK (0 bindings)

Nokia appears to go to sleep after this portion and nolonger responds to request from system.

I may be a little over my head on this but any help anyone can offer would be great.

Make sure you have upgraded your E61's firmware. Without it, there is no STUN support.

Does anyone know if there is a copy of the standard sip settings out there that has just the stun dissabled or will that option be avalible via the UI in a possible future update. This currently appears to be the only road block I am running into right now. Dont know if that is the actual fix, but worth a try. Thanks

The STUN settings needs to be provisioned (OMA DM OTA SMS or by SISX file) for STUN support to work. Do I asumme correctly that the settings have been inserted manually?

nly, saddly right now I am only working via the UI, and no VoIP provider avalible to send me an sms as this is a basic phone line with a IP-PBX built on to it. From reading over the forum to get better educated, it appears that I might have to wait until Nokia release a feature which will allow one to config their own setting for the STUN/NAT trasversal. As my above data capture indicates that it is the port 3478 that is the main issue.

    Hey Chris,
I am running my Nokia E62 registered through MediaNet(accesspoint)(not wifi) registering to my friend trixbox/Asterisk VoIP PBX.

I have included the standards SIP settings that I'm using on my E62 to get it to register to my IP-PBX.

"Nokia E62 SIP Settings / Asterisk Settings

    SIP Config.

    Profile Name: Asterisk

    Service Profile: IETF

Default Access Point: Media Net (or your providers access point)

Public User Name: sip:XXX@trixdomain.com (XXX = the extension you are assigned on the trixbox)@(domain or public IP of the trixbox)
    Use Compression: No

    Registration: Always on

    Use Security: No

    PROXY SERVER

Proxy server address: sip:trixdomain.com (domain or public IP of the trixbox)
Realm: asterisk (make sure to use a lower-case a)

Username: XXX (your extension setup on the trix)

    Password: **** (your extension password)

    Allow loose routing: Yes

    Transport type: UDP
    Port: 5060

    Registrar server

Registrar serv. addr.: sip:trixdomain.com (domain or public IP of the trixbox)

    Realm: None

    User name: None

    Password: None

    Transport type: UDP

    Port: 5060"

I also have alot of random information/setitngs for Trixbox PBX's on this page I made, http://blog.spanosg.com/. Hope this was helpful.

    What PBX are you using?
