Description
Local host connection does not need an external connection. However, the devices try to establish external connections. This issue can be verified by connecting to the local host URL http://127.0.0.1/ from the browser, when the device tries to establish an external connection. The external connection can be either a GPRS or a WLAN connection based on the selected access point. If the external connection fails, the subsequent connection to localhost fails as well.
Solution
This issue appears on S60 3rd Edition and on some S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1 devices, but it is fixed from S60 3rd Edition, FP2 onwards. Currently there is no solution for affected devices.
