Description

Audio streaming latencies in the Nokia 3250 are higher than in other S60 3rd Edition devices. For example, CMdaAudioOutputStream waits for its buffers to be filled before passing it on to the sound device, causing a ~500 ms delay.

How to reproduce

Execute the S60 Platform: Sound Mixer Example on different S60 3rd Edition devices to observe the difference. You can minimize the number of squares in the program to observe the delay  more clearly in playing the sound in the Nokia 3250.

Solution

No known solution.
