Description

After launching the MMAPI Camera MIDlet, direct video from the device's built-in camera is rotated by 90 degrees when rendered onto canvas.

How to reproduce

Initialize the player with the video locator:

Manager.createPlayer("capture://video");

Fetch video control from the player object:

Player.getControl("VideoControl");

Put direct video onto canvas:

VideoControl.initDisplayMode(VideoControl.USE_DIRECT_VIDEO, this);

Solution

This issue has been fixed in firmware version 03.58 and newer.
