Overview

It is not possible to switch the device's backlight or vibration on in MIDlets for S60 devices.

Symptoms

After a short delay without any key presses, the backlight goes off.

Description

Class com.nokia.mid.ui.DeviceControl defined by the Nokia UI API is not implemented in S60 devices. Thus, it is impossible to control the backlight and vibration in S60 MIDlets.
