Symbian provides the class RSubConnection to create a subconnection (Secondary PDP context) and also to set any Quality of Service (QOS) parameters. However, using this class returns KErrNotFound, KErrNotReady, or KErrNotSupported.

Description

Creating a Secondary PDP context with RSubConnection::Open(...) returns KErrNotFound in all Nokia phones. Getting the QoS from the default subconnection using RSubConnection::GetParameters(...) returns KErrNotReady. Setting the QoS with RSubConnection returns KErrNotSupported.

Secondary PDP contexts are not supported on Nokia phones because network operators do not yet support them. Also Nokia phones are not QOS enabled, so any attempt to access or set QOS parameters returns an error.

Solution

There is no known solution for this issue.
