Description

Home screen widgets of Nokia N97 and N97 mini have attracted many developers. Unfortunately there is no API that can be used to enable or disable the widgets. An API for listing all available and currently displayed widgets and reorder visible home screen widgets is not available either.

The HSPS API was meant to be an API that could handle this, but it turned out that the HSPS component can’t handle the home screen configuration alone.

Solution

No known solution for Nokia N97 and N97 mini. On Symbian^3, it is possible to use the Content Control API to handle home screen widgets.
