Description

S60 3rd Edition devices have two browsers, the old dual-mode browser which supports the Extensible Hypertext Markup Language Mobile Profile (XHTML MP)/ Wireless Markup Language (WML) and HTML. This browser is named "Services."

The second browser, an "add-on" browser on S60 3rd Edition devices is a Nokia Open source (OSS) browser. It supports XHTML MP and HTML, but WML is not supported. The OSS browser keeps the original page layout, presenting all content like the Web site designer intended. This browser is named "Web."

If the user gets, for example, an MMS message with a link to a Web page and clicks it, the dual-mode browser will open the page. So, currently it is the primary browser on the device.
