Description

A signed MIDlet can request API permissions in the JAD and manifest files with the MIDlet-Permissions attribute. In addition, the MIDlet can request optional permissions (i.e., permissions, which it would like to have, but which are not absolutely necessary for the MIDlet to work) with the MIDlet-Permissions-Opt attribute.

When the MIDlet requests optional permissions on certain Nokia N95 and Nokia 6290 devices (look for the list of firmware versions above), the permissions are not granted and accessing those APIs will throw SecurityException instead.
