Description

The data transfer rate is adjusted automatically based on the WLAN AP and network conditions. There are currently no APIs to change the behavior.

Setting the WLAN channel is possible only in an IBSS (ad-hoc) network. The channel is selected automatically in infrastructure mode based on the WLAN AP. In IBSS mode the channel (WLAN_CHANNEL_ID) is set in the WLANService Table in the comms database.

Furthermore, if you want to change the channel on the fly, the only option is to close the IAP, modify the channel in WLAN service table, and start the IAP again. The channel cannot be changed on the fly.

The basic/supported rates are currently hard-coded in ad-hoc mode.
