Overview
Using USIM or ISIM-based authentication in an IMS network
Description
USIM-based IMS-AKA and ISIM-based IMS-AKA authentication require the phone to be equipped with the operator UICC card (that is, a 3G SIM card) with USIM or ISIM capability.
If you are planning to use ISIM authentication, make sure that the UICC card in the phone has an ISIM application, and that the operator that provided the card supports ISIM registration, and that you are using that operator's network which provided the ISIM.
Otherwise configure the SIP profile manually. In case of the other two available authentication methods (HTTP Digest, Early IMS Authentication), the operator typically provides some provisioning SIP settings that are sent OTA to the device.
