Capabilities (Symbian Signed)/CommDD Capability

The CommDD (Communications Device Driver) capability grants direct access to the communications device drivers. This includes the phone baseband, so this is considered a very sensitive capability.
CommDD provides Direct access to all communications equipment device drivers which includes for example, WiFi, USB and serial device drivers.
Certified Signing is needed for this Capability.
Here are some example Application Categories that may need to use this capability: FireWall, Antivirus, Device Management and Device Blocking, Network Monitoring, VPN, Hotspot Framework. For other examples see Sensitive Applications.
