Introduction
Apache Cordova (earlier known as PhoneGap) APIs can be used to build a native mobile applications using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Cordova provides number of JavaScript libraries that can be invoked, with device-specific native code for the respective JavaScript libraries. This combined with a UI framework such as jQuery or Sencha Touch creates a great WP8 application.
For more information see:

Hamishwillee - Subedited/moved topic
Hi Aady
Thanks for this - I have subedited and changed the name. Please can you also put link in the WP tools and libraries topic I pointed you to previously.
I've changed the name since there didn't seem much point having a getting started topic that just pointed to a single getting started topic. The new topic is still a brief overview with links but with the current name can be extended easily with more links if more information is uncovered.
Regards
