Declarative Statement (Symbian Signed)

What is the declarative statement?
You will only need to complete a declarative statement if you are using restricted capabilities. So you will only be asked to complete the statement if your application requires DiskAdmin, NetworkControl, CommDD or MultimediaDD capabilities.
What information should be entered into the declarative statement?
In the declarative statement, you will be asked to give an explanation of why your application requires the relevant capability, followed by specific details of the API you are using. You only need to write a very short explanation - one sentence is enough - in each box.
The page on Capabilities provides information on both how capabilities and APIs are mapped and how to use the capability scanner to find out what APIs you are using for each capability.
