Carbide.c++ 1.2.x shipped without extended character encoding support, we are making this available now in a .zip file. For example, one cannot choose to use shift_jis as the character encoder as its not included by default.

The attached zip archive contains the encoding files necessary to enable SHIFT_JIS encoding within Carbide.c++. The zip file contains two jar files and a readme.txt file. The installation instructions are contained in the readme.txt file.

DISCLAIMER: These updates files have not been through an entire testing cycle, so we have not conclusively proven that it fixes all the problems customers found in the original release. Please contact the Carbide.c++ technical support department if you encounter any problems with this update.
