Error "message-format-corrupt" when sending an MMS with the MMS MTM

Description

When sending a custom-built MMS message using the methods of the MMS Client MTM, I get an error "message-format-corrupt". What is the problem?
This is an error message from the network and it means that your message has some parts that are not accepted by the network. Some network operators are more strict on the message contents than others, so your application may work seemingly fine in some networks while in some other networks messages are refused.
The solution is to carefully check all the additional message headers that your application sets; check that the headers are set correctly and that the targeted network allows them.
