- POSIX signals emulation.
- setdefaultif API to enable the setting of a default IAP/SNAP.
- Use of /dev/null as stdio redirection media.
- eselect API to watch for custom TRequestStatus objects.
- aselect API to invoked a select asynchronously.
- Support for the FIONREAD command on socket ioctls.
- Support for text-mode stdio, available using set_fmode(). This feature closely mirrors the facility in Windows CRT.
