- Python on Symbian (Book table of contents)
This book has been possible by the joint and supportive efforts of many people working together over the last few months. We are deeply grateful to Symbian Foundation and Nokia for their kind and gracious support.
The idea of the book germinated while during a discussion with Mark Wilcox 18 months ago in Budapest. With Mark's support we came into contact with the right people at the Symbian Foundation who guided and helped us throughout this book project. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mark for pitching us through!
We'd like to acknowledge our deep sense of gratitude to Jo Stichbury, Satu Dahl and Tim Williams from the Technical Communications Team for being patient with us while we wrote the book. They played a significant role in structuring it, finalizing the chapters and typsetting them for the book. Moreover, they introduced us to the numerous people and experts while we needed any help; some of them also authored several chapters of the book and helped us bring it to you! We are thankful to Jo for dedicating her time to the book out of her tenure at Symbian Foundation during the final stages of the book.
We are grateful to the co-authors for their key contributions, and for investing their personal time to make this book a reality. Hamish Willee, Marcelo Barros de Almeida and Mike Jipping have spent time on authoring and editing significant sections of the book. We are grateful for their extraordinary support. We would like to thank all the contributors and technical reviewers - Aapo Rista, Christophe Berger, Herb Jellinek, Jouni Miettunen, Marcel Caraciolo and Rafael Szuminski - for their invaluable comments and help to improve the text significantly for the readers.
Special thanks to Hamish and Jo from Symbian Foundation, who successfully kept us constantly motivated and supported us in every way they could. Jo has made huge difference in terms of readability during copyediting chapters. Hamish has also authored, reviewed and edited several chapters of this book. His efforts towards the book have been extremely significant and this book wouldn't have been possible without his support. Thanks to Jo again, for allowing Hamish time to spend on this book!
We would thank T.S.Vijayan and his team from Nokia, for their essential support and help on the book. We would also like to acknowledge the support of Jürgen Scheible during the project.
Last but not the least, we would like to thank the Almighty and our families who supported and motivated us at all times.
