Overview

Tapping the scrollbar track area crashes an eSWT MIDlet with ListView.

Description

ListView is an eSWT API widget that allows the user to select one or more items from a collection of items that can be displayed in a multi-column way with different styles.

When there are several items available and some of them are not visible on the screen, a scrollbar allows the user to scroll the view to see all the items. On S60 5th Edition's touch-based devices, the user can drag the scrollbar by touching the screen.

On certain S60 5th devices, when user taps the track area of a scrollbar (without dragging the thumb), the eSWT MIDlet with ListView may crash as result.

Solution

No solution for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.

This issue has been fixed for the Nokia N97, starting with second commercial software releases (v 20.0.019).
