Overview

In Nokia MIDP 1.0 devices, Nokia UI API's DeviceControl.setLights(0,0) doesn't set the keypad lights off. The screen lights are turned off, but the keypad lights stay on.

Symptoms

This consumes a lot of battery power in applications that need to run for a long time.

Description

In Nokia MIDP 1.0 devices, Nokia UI API's DeviceControl.setLights(0,0) doesn't set the keypad lights off properly. In devices with a foldout keyboard (such as Nokia 6820), only the lights of the right hand side of the keypad are turned off.
