Description

The default value of a choiceGroup may not be passed on to the itemStateListener on MIDlet startup.

When one or more of the textFields is set to uneditable depending on the state of a choiceGroup at MIDlet startup in a MIDlet with a couple of text fields and a choiceGroup, it may be possible to insert text into the field until the current value of choiceGroup is passed on to the itemStateListener.  

Solution

Set the default constraint of the textField outside the ItemListener.
