Dialling a number that ends with an emergency number (112, 911) using the ETel 3rd party API's DialNewCal fails with KErrNotSupported. This issue is not reproducible in India with local emergency numbers (100, 101, 108).

How to reproduce

  1. Install the IsvTelCallApp application available in the SDK.
  2. Launch the application.
  3. Type a number that ends with an emergency number, such as XXXXXXX112, and select Call.
  4. The call fails with KErrNotSupported.

Solution

No solution available. This problem is expected to be fixed in future firmware versions.
