Description
General phone numbers added by the user cannot be accessed from a MIDlet using the PIM API (JSR-75) as contact.countValues(Contact.TEL) does not return a general number. If a contact with a general number is added using the PIM API, then the general number can be accessed.
How to reproduce
Add a contact with a general phone number normally from the Contacts application. Then try to read the general phone number field by using the PIM API's Contact.getString() method.
Solution
Currently no workaround exists.
