Description

Nokia Browser 7.3 no longer supports passing usernames and passwords in HTTP or HTTPS URLs.

In previous Nokia Browser versions, the following URL syntax could be used (but was not recommended) to log in to a web resource that had basic authentication enabled. From Browser 7.3 onwards, automatic URL authentication has been disabled:

  • https://user:password@example.com/login.html
