Description

In S60 5th Edition devices, if the Browser Control interface is used to load any web page with maps, the application freezes for a few minutes while loading the page. This issue cannot be reproduced on S60 3rd Edition devices.

How to reproduce

Load any web page with maps, such as maps.yahoo.com or maps.google.com, using the Browser Control interface. The BrCtlSampleApp example available in the SDK can be used for this purpose. While loading the page, the application freezes for over 3 minutes before displaying the content. The same application works fine in all 3rd Edition devices.

Solution

No known solution. This issue is under investigation.
