This category contains community articles related to Nokia's Location Platform, a suite of programming interfaces that allow you to develop interactive applications with maps and map-related services at their core. Separate APIs are provided for use in mobile devices and for use in web browsers. Mobile devices should use the mobile APIs as these will access locally stored maps (if present), providing a much better and cheaper user experience. The APIs included in this category are:
- APIs for use in mobile devices
- Maps API for Qt - Qt/Qt Quick API for accessing locally stored maps
- Maps API for Java ME - Qt/Qt Quick API for accessing locally stored maps
- APIs for use in web browsers:
- Maps API for JavaScript - JavaScript API for to access maps from a server
- Places API for JavaScript - JavaScript API for accessing landmark information
- Map Image API for HTTP - API to access static maps from a server.
Nokia Maps API v2.1 (06 Dec 2011): The Nokia Maps API for Javascript has now been updated to version 2.1.0. Check it out here.
