Overview

S60 Starter reads the '3rd party startup list' on each boot. Trusted applications installed from SISX files are added to the startup list using the Startup List Management API. Only SW Installer has the ability to add/remove 3rd party startup applications to/from the list. This means that 3rd party applications cannot add/remove entries to/from the startup list in order to disable/enable startup of all applications or a particular application on the device.

However, managing your own autostart application is possible. This is described in TSS000371 - How can I disable autostart if it is enabled? How can I make autostart /autoboot dynamic?
