The application is fully integrated with waterstones.com accounts, enabling users to collect points and quickly progress through checkout.

Visuals

• The user interface is bright, high contrast, and well aligned with the Waterstone's brand.
• The application uses the native Segoe font, ensuring a clean, light, and open look.
• Buttons, dialogues and iconography use the default Metro UI look.

Interaction

• Users can navigate between the application's three primary panels using a swipe gesture. Users can also access these top-level sections at any point by tapping icons on the application bar.
• Panels contain either a vertical list, a colourful grid of book covers, or an entirely bespoke layout representing individual titles and book details.
• A short animation is triggered each time a book is added to the shopping cart. This animation (emulating a book flying into the cart) provides simple but subtle confirmation of this key action.
• Users can navigate back from all views using the dedicated hardware key.

Overall

• Users can search for nearby stores using an embedded version of Bing maps.
• Users can access the shopping cart at any time by tapping an icon on the application bar.
