Visuals

• The user interface is bright, high contrast, and well aligned with the CNN brand.

Interaction

• Users can navigate between news categories using a pop-up list. Tapping an action button located on the header bar reveals this list.
• News items are presented in a scrollable vertical list. Tapping each news item reveals the content for that article. At an article level, users can also reveal the next or previous articles using a swipe gesture.
• Users can share an article with friends on Twitter or Facebook by tapping an action button located on the header bar.
• Bespoke layouts are used to display complex data such as results, medal standings and athlete profiles.
• Backstepping is intuitive using the back button positioned at the bottom right of each view.

• Users can subscribe to breaking news push notifications. These appear on the device's notification bar and are displayed in and alert dialogue once the user opens the application.
