Developed for Series 40, this full-touch application enables users to follow their interests, learn what's happening around the world, and receive instant updates from their friends, industry experts or celebrities.

Visuals

• User interface colours are bright, high contrast and well aligned with the Twitter brand.
• Twitter’s brand icons are simple, easy to understand and well aligned with with icon guidelines for Series 40.

Interaction

• Users can navigate between the application's four primary sections using the category bar. The active category is highlighted in accordance with Series 40 guidelines.
• Tweets are presented in a scrollable vertical list. Tapping each Tweet reveals a detail view, which includes active hyperlinks and (where applicable) embedded images or maps. From this view, users can tap the icons provided to initiate a re-Tweet, a reply or mark the Tweet as a favourite.
• The Twitter app conforms to Series 40 navigation guidelines by enabling backstepping from each lower-level view. The back button provided is highly visible but is positioned at the top of each view, in accordance with Twitter’s own brand guidelines.

Overall

• Users can easily add image gallery photos to their Tweets using the tools provided. To keep users informed during data-intensive operations, a simple, looping animation plays to signal that data is loading, and indicate into which area of the view it will appear.
