Developed for Series 40, this simple yet elegant full-touch application enables users to cheaply and easily send SMS-style messages to friends and family using Wi-Fi or 3G.

Visuals

• The user interface is high contrast, and well aligned with the WhatsApp messenger brand.
• Messages are displayed within an intuitive "message bubble" interface. Bubbles are colour coded to differentiate each user within the conversation.
• Emoji conversation icons are colourful, well designed and easy to understand.

Interaction

• Users can navigate between the application's sections using tabs provided at the top of each view. Additional choices are displayed in an options menu.
• Contacts are displayed in a scrollable vertical list. Tapping a contact opens the messaging view containing past conversations and a message input field.

Overall

• Users can easily attach images, video or audio to a message using the tools provided. Once the content has been sent, a media thumbnail or icon is displayed in the recipients' message bubble. Tapping the nearby View button triggers a full screen view containing the content.
